NASHVILLE (BP) -- Becca, Lauren and Alyssa Barlow crowded in front of a computer camera on Monday night (Oct.29) to bid their fans a final farewell after 10 years of singing, touring and recording together as the sister-trio Barlow Girl.In his youth, he aspired to escape his working class roots and was the first Street resident to go to University.A History and English graduate, he began his professional life as an English teacher at Bessie Street School, remaining at his father's side in Weatherfield after Ida's death in a road accident in 1961. The marriage was mostly happy although Ken's ambitions were at odds with Valerie's contentedness with the lifestyle he wanted to leave behind.Tracy Lynette Barlow (née Langton, previously Preston and Mc Donald) is the daughter of Deirdre Barlow and Ray Langton.Born on 24th January 1977, Tracy was raised by Deirdre and her second husband Ken Barlow, who adopted Tracy after Ray lost touch with the family.

The Barlow sisters were given a paid trip to the Gospel Music Association's Music in the Rockies seminar at Estes Park, Colorado, in mid-2002.The sisters were not informed that the seminar was a record industry event for unsigned artists, nor that it was a competition. Record companies became interested in the sisters after word of mouth spread about the seminar.Barlow Girl was an American Christian rock–CCM all-female band from Elgin, Illinois.The band was composed of sisters Alyssa (lead vocals, bass, keyboard), Rebecca (backing vocals, guitar), and Lauren (co-lead vocals, drums) Barlow.
